British Foot Guards coat 1799-1815

British Foot Guards coat, available for all three regiments, and for both the earlier style with rounded fronts or the later 1812-1815 style with cut-in squared tails. Replicated from original coats preserved in Russia (see article on Tradition magazine in the pics), it is made of fine madder red wool broadcloth exactly matching period samples, and lined with white wool serge in the body only (the sleeves are unlined, as in all the originals). Specify if you want the centre company coat with woolen tufts and orizontal pocket flaps or the flank company with wings and vertical pockets (see the back picture showing both pocket styles). Available in the 4 standard period sizes, plus a modern xlarge size, or made to your own measures.

The photos show the 1st Foot Guards and the 2nd Coldstream Guards light company jacket, this last made for a mannequin exhibited in the new Hogoumont museum at Waterloo.
