French 1845-1858 pattern trousers
French infantry trousers pattern 1845, 1855 or 1858, meticulously copied from an original specimen preserved in Russia (see pics). Made of sturdy madder red ("rouge garance") cloth, lined with "cretonne de coton". Available in standard sizes and inside leg lengths. The Imperial Guard version with blue piping or bands down the ouside leg seam, or artillery and marine in blue with red side bands are also available. Patterned and constructed after the regulation description and plates, and various samples in the Musée de l'Armée and private collections.
