French infantry overcoat patterns 1860 and 1867,  of gris-de-fer-bleuté wool melange cloth, canvas lining, brass regimental buttons.
Meticulously replicated down to the smallest details from an extant original item in my own collection and strictly following the official description in the Journal Militaire. Much of the stitching was still hand-sewn.
The photos show a reconstructed Marine Infantry capote with red anchor collar patches and buttons, as worn in the Franco-Prussian War of 1870-1.
Red fringed epaulettes not included.
