French "bonnet de police" pattern 1860

French forage cap or "bonnet de police" of the so-called "en soufflet" style, pattern 1860. Introduced for the Imperial Guard in May of that year, this authentic replica is made of blue cloth with red braid piping and tassel at front (for grenadiers) or blue folding flaps, red head piece and yellow trims (for voltigeurs), inside lining of natural linen (leather for officers). Available in standard head sizes, please give your head circumference.
