French Imperial Guard grenadier bearskin

French bearskin cap or "bonnet à poil" issued to the grenadiers of the Imperial Guard from 1854 to 1870. Exact copy of original ones in museums and private collections, and following the detailed description and plates of the regulations of 1857, 1860 and 1867. The white plaited cords ("cordons à raquettes") were abolished in 1860 and no longer worn. Available with or without, as well as the officer's version with gold cords. Specify your own head size when ordering.
