Complete uniform of the Gendarmerie de France, in this case a sergeant-major (officer), c.1725.
Carefully reconstructed from period pictorial sources, archival material (SHAT and Mazarine library) and modern studies.
The uniform comprises of the following items of clothing (the wonderful replica sword "à la mousquetaire" can be purchased seperately in this same collection):
coat, waistcoat, breeches, stockings, shoes, shirt, neckcloth, hat, waistbelt.
