Mousquetaire à cheval c. 1745
Complete uniform of the French "Mousquetaires à cheval" of the Maison du Roy, c. 1745.
Reconstructed from period pictorial sources, especiall paintings and portraits, and a few extant items like the cartridge box preserved in the Musée de l'Armée of Paris.
The uniform comprises of the following items:
coat, waistcoat, breeches, jackboots, "soubreveste" or chasuble, shirt, neckstock, hat, waistbelt, cartridge box with shoulder belt.
It can be made to standard sizes or to measure (see form above).
