Napoleon's "chasseur à pied" habit or coat
Iconic habit of the Chasseurs à Pied of the Old Guard, usually worn by Napoleon on campaign, and the one he was buried with at St. Helena. My replica is the most faithful available anywhere, meticulously copied from an original coat brought back to France and preserved at the Sens museum, which I was allowed to examine in September 2007. A replica of this coat is regularly worn by Mark Schneider as Napoleon at reenactment events all over Europe.
It is made of superfine dark "chasseur" green colour with scarlet collar, cuffs and piping, lined with the same green cloth in the skirts, black silk twill in the body and white in the sleeves. It is available either with the same exact measures of Napoleon's original one, or to your own. Also in standard chest size and heights.
We are now able to provide for wonderful replicas of the gold epaulettes of Colonel of the Chasseurs à Cheval and the silver garter star of the Legion d'Honneur, which can be added by choosing the option in the drop menu.
