Nassau officer's "Rock" (coat) 1815

Developed for a fully-uniformed mannequin featuring captain Buesgen in the new exhibition at the farm of Hougoumont, Waterloo, here is a reconstruction of the officer's long-tailed coat or "Rock" of the 1815 pattern for the 2nd Nassau Regiment. Made of superfine green cloth lined with the same cloth in the tails and fine linen (or silk twill if you prefer) in the body and sleeves. Black velvet open collar and round cuffs, vertical false pockets and piping of yellow throughout. Correct Orange-Nassau buttons with a crowned "W" (for Wilhelm) of gilt brass.
